Day 2 – building on the basic technique, we will now travel further exploring the many islands and rugged coastline around Arisaig.
Day 3 – today will be looking at the tides, exploring tidal flows and understanding their affect on sea kayak travel
Day 4/5 – Over night expedition. We have options for this journey depending on weather, expect to travel from Malaig to the head of Loch Nevis for a truly wild camp site.
Jura – 4 day expedition
The island of Jura is situated on the South West coast of Scotland amidst a large cluster of islands. Being part of the inner Hebrides this island is accessible as well as having some of the most interesting and exciting kayaking on the West coast.
This trip has flexibility depending on the ability of the participants and weather conditions at the time. The 4 day journey will be full self sufficient carrying tents and sleeping equipment, food and supplies in order to make this a true expedition.
The journey will be based around exploring the west coast of the island, starting by paddling through the legendary Corryvreckan, although we will pass when the tide is slow. From here our journey will continue south passing secluded beaches and caves that make this area so special. Our aim is to continue round the island making a full circum navigation within the time we have. Camping on remote beaches and paddling through spectacular scenery is what this trip boasts so the whisky distilleries are an added extra.
