Activity centre Lancashire - was formed in April 2004 by Diane and Andy Hill. Diane and Andy have an experience in organising activities and with a combined background in youth work, high schools (social inclusion), education and event management Diane and Andy decided it was time to break out and work for themselves. Their combined experience and qualifications have enabled them to develop activities incorporated around their specialist skills of archery, climbing, canoeing and kayaking, problem solving and mountaineering.

Activity centre Lancashire - Adventure Activities Licensing Authority - We are pleased to announce that we have now successfully gained AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) registration to offer the following activities: Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Gorge Scrambling, Open Canoeing, Kayaking, Rafting, Hill Walking and Mountaineering. Hill Climb Activities have developed a full package of problem solving tasks to enable participants to develop and enhance their problem solving skills. Our problem solving packages can be incorporated into full activity days or can be used as a stand alone activity.

All our activities are designed to develop confidence, communication and listening skills, personal and social development, responsibility for the environment, safety awareness, the correct use and care of equipment. Together with a group of nationally qualified and experienced instructors they have been in high demand for schools work, youth service projects, development work, corporate development work, activity days and more. We have wide ranging experience of providing multi-activity days for both primary and high schools and have received excellent feedback on our work.

We are now offering After Schools Courses, where we come to your school to run activities including: Climbing, Archery, Problem Solving, Orienteering. This will expand our activities even further and we would be delighted to discuss any of our activities and suitable programmes for you or your organisation. Portable climbing wall - We offer tailor made courses to meet the needs of your organisation. We can deliver development programmes that are engaging, memorable and achieve real improvements in performance.

Climbing Wall Using our 8 metre state-of-the-art portable climbing wall, we can offer a fantastic opportunity to develop your climbing skills. The Wall is set with a variety of routes to suit all ages and abilities and we provide specialist instruction to ensure all climbers get the most out of this activity. Why travel when we can bring our climbing wall to you? The climbing wall is a major attraction and a fantastic crowd pulling facility at any event. The wall has automatic belays and allows up to 4 climbers to climb at once.

Can be used indoors or outdoors. Upon arrival at the venue the wall is fully operational within 30 minutes. 8 metres high. Suitable for climbers of all ages and abilities. Provides a safe but challenging experience. Full instruction by qualified and experienced instructors. All equipment provided. Can be set up to enable development in areas such as belaying, rope work, skills progression, etc. The climbing wall can be used as a single activity or as part of a multi activity day with our archery, problem solving and team building activities. Either way, using a wide variety of games and resources we can tailor make a package of activities for your group or organisation. Our activities are fun, but with an emphasis on personal development, group participation and communication.

We have nationally qualified instructors who will introduce games designed to improve group work and communication in a safe environment. Archery fits in well on its own or combined with other activities. For more info click here
