The UK offers some of the most varied and diverse coastline to be found anywhere in the world. We make full use of this by running this fully inclusive training and assessment course throughout Scotland and Anglesey.
At Gold level we feel that there should be opportunities available to push beyond normal practice to achieve something really special. Due to the nature of this expedition participants will receive a higher level of input to the skills and knowledge needed to competently achieve the award. Our qualified coaches will stay with the group throughout the course in order to train and qualify all participants through the BCU 3 star award, and teach coastal navigation skills in order to make the self sufficient sea kayaking expedition achievable. This consistent input from our experienced instructors will enable people to be part of a thorough development programme offering a greater understanding of all aspects of extended journeys on the sea. No previous sea kayaking experience is required as we will take you through the whole process to ensure you are fully competent by the end of the programme.
The equipment we use is of such a standard to ensure all participants are both comfortable and safe whilst offering the best possible learning experience. This high level of equipment is backed up by the extensive experience of our highly qualified instructors who will train all participants in the appropriate skills for undertaking a self sufficient expedition.
This is a full package including: specialist equipment, instruction, supervisors, accredited assessor, camp site fees, food, transport (pick up from Preston train station to the expedition areas), and as a fully licensed provider all participants are covered by public liability insurance.
