The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Duke of Edinburgh Award has been available to young people for over 50 years offering life changing experiences to 65,000 people every year.
At Hill Climb Activities we believe in the process a young person has to go through to achieve their award. Our experienced and highly qualified instructors are passionate about offering a quality experience for all participants and work hard to make it achievable.
We offer training/ practice and qualifying expeditions for Silver and Gold awards, also delivering residential weeks for the Gold level award. For both levels of awards we have walking and water based expeditions which are run at a variety of locations throughout the UK and overseas.
Learning and developing new skills is a large part of the DofE ethos, and with quality equipment with the ability to train and qualify young people in both canoeing and sea kayaking we offer an outstanding experience to people willing to try something different for their DofE award.

We also run closed walking expeditions for both Silver and Gold awards, so for any groups interested in completing walking expeditions, please contact us.
We offer both practice and qualifying expeditions so anyone wishing to complete the award from scratch can book a package which will include all training and expeditions necessary to complete the Award. Also at Gold we have packages which include all training, expeditions and residential elements.
Packages
Those who wish to book onto more than one expedition, or choose to book all elements of an award will receive a 10% discount off the full amount if booked at the same time. This continuity throughout the award will benefit the participant’s development due to the familiarity our instructors will have with the skill level of the participant. Participants who attend training & practice with us and then go on to book on to a Qualifying Exped will receive a 10% discount off the Qualifying Exped..
